Practice and Discussion on the Cultivation of Internal Students as Postgraduates at Local Universities and Colleges:Based on Practice in Guangdong University of Technology

Abstract: The quantity and quality of postgraduate candidates from within the local colleges and universities determine the overall structure and quality of postgraduates. Thus, we should analyze and understand the main reasons for college students to take part in postgraduate entrance exams and pursue graduate studies, and then develop the undergraduate career planning education aiming at students' professional interests and the pursuit of high-level values. We should highlight the leading role of our predominant disciplines through the establishment of the internal coordination mechanism, build the school students' cultivation platform, and cultivate students' sense of belonging and identity, thus achieving the overall goal of strengthening and perfecting the quantity and quality of high-quality postgraduate candidates.
