The Effectiveness of Social Work Supervision and Its Improvement Path under the Framework of “Structure-Relationship-Power” Analysis: Based on the Qualitative Research of Social Work Supervision Mode in Z City

Abstract: Under the background of the rapid advancement of social work professionalization, the effectiveness of social work supervision has become one of the core factors affecting the quality of social work service. Taking the social work supervision model of Z City as an example, the paper constructs an analytical framework of “structure-relationship-power” on the basis of summarizing the factors limiting the effectiveness of social work supervision. It is found that the reason why the effectiveness of social work supervision is not significant is not only the restriction of external structure system, the relationship between stakeholders, but also the lack of authorization mechanism. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the guarantee system for the operation of the supervision mode, coordinate the relationship among stakeholders, and construct the power structure of multiple centers, so as to better enhance the effectiveness of social work supervision.
