Localization and Professionalization: Integration Development of Social Work in Zhejiang Province

Abstract: The professional social work originating from western capitalism is unfit for Chinese society, while the traditional social work rooted in Chinese culture lacks professionalism. Facing the double trouble, how can we overcome the barrier? Based on case of Zhejiang province, we can be inspired by the experience of social work practice. One is ‘the localization of professional social work’ based on community integration, the other is ‘profession of traditional social work’ based on skill up-grading.
