    LI Min, LIU Lexuan
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2017, 17 (5): 5-11.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (728KB) ( 2369 )
Female migrant workers are a new disadvantaged group in the city. This study analyzes female migrant workers under the framework of resilience theory to compensate for the deficiency of problem-oriented research, exhibit their tenacious vitality and provide reference for social work intervention which lays emphasis on "empowerment", "strength perspective" and "person-in-environment". The study shows that inner factors including optimistic attitude, positive life vision, strong will and rational resistance and outer factors including family support, peer group support and social support make up the protective factors of female migrant workers' resilience. Social workers can use multiple paths including inspiring personal protection, linking social resources, and advocating government policy support to stimulate and strengthen the protective factors of female migrant worker's resistance, improving their resistance.

WANG Jie, KANG Jiao, FANG Yue
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2017, 17 (5): 18-23.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (639KB) ( 2474 )
The two-way professional relationship of social work includes the clear cognition of roles, the existence of relationship and the development stage between social worker and clients. Because of the vague professional image of social workers, the clients often mistook social workers for volunteers, good people, friends, relatives, government representatives, sellers or frauds, forming a one-way professional relationship which seriously affected the effectiveness of the social service. It is difficult for social workers to correct the cognitive bias of the clients and sometimes some even use their cognitive bias to achieve their individual or institution purpose, and the mishandle of the social workers leads to the failure of the establishment of the two-way relationship. Towards to a two-way professional relationship, we should enhance the recognition of social work professional image, strengthen the service specification and ethical consciousness of social work, and enhance the sensitivity of social workers.

    XU Xingxing, KANG Hongjun
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2017, 17 (5): 57-62.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (620KB) ( 2265 )
In view of the defects of the current public cultural service provision model in China, this paper puts forward the concept of "endogenous supply" of community public cultural service. The research on the supply mode of public cultural service in Y community finds that Y community implements the endogenous provision of community public cultural services basically through the excavation of social resources, the integration of regional characteristics of cultural resources, participation in competition and the pursuit of government financial support and recognition and so on. To achieve the sustainability of endogenous supply of community public cultural service, the community should be supported by the government, strengthen their own construction to activate endogenous forces, integrate the resources to promote community integration and participate in market competition to foster community spirit.

A Comparative Study on Social Support for Two Types of Families Bereft of Their Only-Child and the Influence of Self-organizations
    CHEN Wenhua
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2017, 17 (5): 63-72.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (911KB) ( 2243 )
Family bereft of their only-child is a vulnerable group with intense media attention. Through field investigation in A and B two provinces, the differences in social support for two kinds of families bereft of their only-child were spotted:the ones that joined the self-organizations of families bereft of their only-child and the ones that are not members of such self-organizations. The former gets more formal social support and less informal social support, while the latter was given less formal social support, but the informal social support influences them relatively more obviously. In addition, the former holds high and "ideal-typed" expectations of social support with poor realizability, while the latter has low expectations, and most is a kind of "bottom line" expectations. Admittedly, the causes of the formation of differences are numerous, but there is no doubt that the self-organization plays an important role in it by influencing the attribution of death of the only-child, stimulated habits, rights consciousness, the identity to take responsibility, countervailing power and its "involution" which is hard to avoid. This has implications for carrying out differentiated and classified social support services, recognizing the duality of the self-organization and guiding its scientific development.
