Abstract: Taking the supervision of local agencies into their practice context, this paper makes an exploration of advance of professional service by local social work agencies in our country, and summarizes the basic features of their practice context. It finds that supervision of local social work agencies involves three types of practice context, namely the program context, agency context and social context. With the purpose of program-centered service and contextualized service, professional service will play its role of providing professional service, cultivating professional personnel and promoting the development of agencies from the three levels of program director, agency director and head of the agency.
