Abstract: From the perspective of value, this paper explores the path of social work intervention to resolve the dilemma of rural governance. A rural governance plight in which the interests of the farmers are unable to respond effectively, and a rural values loss, which is embodied in the struggle of multiple subjects’ self-positioning in village governance, the lack of an overall concept, and the shackles of endogenous forces. The introduction of the general process model of social work practice provides an operational scheme for optimizing rural governance. From the perspective of “value construction, value activation, value play, and value increment”, the practical path of social work involvement in rural governance is constructed, which includes “concept embedding, resource integration, comprehensive governance, and maintenance effectiveness”. The goal is to give full play to the advantages of rural resource integration and localization, stimulate endogenous organizational vitality and cohesion, and guide villagers to seek community consciousness and group goals based on the great importance of the potential of the original social structure. The effective intervention of social work and their comprehensive understanding and systematic participation in the process of rural governance have guided the return of rural values to the “rural standard”, thus helping to resolve rural neighborhood conflicts and disputes.
