教育回报视角下农村父母养老方式选择的影响因素分析

摘要: 摘要: 研究表明,父母对子女的教育投入与子女对父母的回报有正向关系。文章通过对广东54个农村社区有子女大学毕业后在城市工作的父母进行问卷调查,考察大学毕业的子女对农村父母的回报情况,主要内容包括子女毕业后每年给父母的经济回报、情感沟通交流情况以及教育投入与回报对农村父母的影响,并以农村父母是愿意跟随子女到城市养老抑或是继续留在农村为因变量,从父母与子女两个方面分析农村父母的养老方式选择的影响因素。研究发现,农村父母多数愿意跟随子女到城市养老,但是养老方式的选择受子女的影响较弱。

Abstract:
Abstract: This survey shows a positive correlation between parents’ input in their children’s education and the reward from their children. Through the questionnaires from 54 parents in rural areas in Guangdong Province whose children are university graduates and now work in cities, this paper investigates how rural graduates reward their parents in such aspects as annual financial reward to their parents, emotional communication with their parents and influence of education input on the parents. With the parents’ willingness to follow their children to cities or stay in rural communities to support themselves as a variable, the paper tries to find out the factors influencing the selection of patterns for providing for the rural aged parents from the perspective of both the parents and their children. The result reveals that the selection of patterns for providing for these parents is less influenced by their children, although most of them would like to follow their children to live in cities.
