Abstract: Mr.Liang Qichao proposed Guoxue (Sinology) educational thought from the perspective of shaping Chinese nationals. The thought includes the moral education and scientific quality education. Mr. Liang Qichao identified “moral” and “science” as the interlink between Guoxue and Western education, and established the position of Guoxue studies in the world civilization. His thought gives us some inspiration on how to prevent sinology from being built into others modes in the process of modernization and how to construct the Chinese culture with a kind of universal significance in the context of globalization.

Key words: Liang Qichao, Sinology education, moral cultivation, scientific research
