Abstract:  College counselor system is a basic form of education management of college students in China. In this new age, the innovations of counselor work, especially the function extension and role transition, are faced with new challenges. This paper considers that there are many ways to promote the innovation of the work of counselors. The embedment of college social work helps counselors expand functions and remodel their role, and it is an alternative route to change their thinking and promote the professionalization and specialization of counselor work.
