A Study on the Assessment and Assessment Tools for the Barrier-free Environment of Home Care

Abstract: Home-care is the main way to solve the pressure of aging at this stage. Based on the relevant assessment tools at home and abroad, this paper attempts to develop an appropriate assessment form for the barrier-free environment in China. The assessment of barrier-free environment involves social, living conditions, the environment and other aspects, but the focus of this article is how to effectively take into account the needs of the elderly .The using of barrier-free environmental assessment tools can not only reduce the security risk for the elderly, but also call residents to pay more attention to provide a safe living environment for the elderly. Therefore, the elderly can continue to live comfortably and safely in a familiar environment.
