Similarities and Differences between CPC Mass Organization Work and Social Work

Abstract: Mass organizations and mass organization work are important foundation for Communist Party of China to govern the state, among which the work in mass organizations such as Trade Union, Communist Youth League and the Women's Federation has a special place, while social work is a professional activity that focus its service on underprivileged social groups. Both the mass organization work and social work have the dual feature of service and management, with the same elements and similar functions. Because of the difference in origin and context, they have different essential elements. Yet beneath the appearance of difference in the essential elements, similarities can still be found in the work process for both of them. To grasp the respective characteristics of both mass organization work and social work in the general process and learn from each other's strength is the practical wisdom that results from advancement in interaction, promoting the maximun hapiness of the mass.
