Guangdong’s Reform and Opening-up: The Practice and Inspiration of the 4-Decade Innovation and Development

Abstract: By interpreting the history and practice of innovation-driven development in Guangdong, this paper aims to define the advantages and problems of its development strategy, and to clarify the development opportunities and challenges. According to the requirements of "four steps ahead" put forward by General Secretary Xi, this paper provide some policy proposals to promote the implement of Guangdong's innovation-driven development strategy. By promoting the new process of innovation-driven development in Guangdong, we can build Guangdong as an important "window" and "demonstration area" of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
