Mindfulness Therapy: Current Concerns and Its Realization in Social Work Services

Abstract: Through literature analysis and review it was found that, after more than 30 years of development, mindfulness therapy has been widely used in the fields of auxiliary treatment of chronic diseases, treatment of psychological diseases and human resource management due toits comprehensive, current, native and integrative professional characteristics. In recent years, mindfulness therapy has gradually become one of the choices of social work professional service technology due to its emphasis on the inner focus and the ability to live in the present, and it has gradually achieved the progress from psychological enhancement to spiritual liberation of service objects. Four patterns of social work with mindfulness therapy, namely mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy, cognitive therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and acceptance of reality therapy, can solve the new problems faced by the humanity, and guide the service targets to achieve the maintenance of physical and mental healththrough the six steps of attitude and commitment, navigation and understanding, existence and awareness, visualization and balance, connection and definition, fusion and action. Based on historical experience and practice reflection, social workers should accumulate practical experience, enhance professional reflection, innovate service mode, and accept form the scientific system and Oriental wisdom of mindfulness therapy in social work service.
