Cooperation with Boundary: The New Relationship between Social Work Organization, the Subdistrict Office and the Neighborhood Committee

Abstract: Based on questionnaires and in-depth interviews, this paper analyzes the relationship between Social Work Organization (SWO) and Subdistrict Office andNeighborhood Committee, and points out that there has been a new type of "cooperation with boundary" between them, which is more equal and healthy. In the new relationship, the professional advantages of SWOs are recognized by the neighborhood committees. At the same time, the focus and difficulties of Subdistrict Office and Neighborhood Committees are also supported by the professional services from SWOs. This is a good direction for the development of relationships between SWOs and governments or other organizations within the system, which has inspiration and reference to other service areas.
