Abstract:  Underdevelopment of the current social work in China is closely linked with the absence of legislation about social work. In the formation of the legislation of social work in China, a special path should be blazed from four aspects, namely the legalizing, amending and abolition of the existing civil laws; transplantation of social work legislation in western countries; legalization of social work ethics; legalization of social policy, which should all be given sufficient attention and importance.
