Abstract: The measurement of the volunteer service performance during Guangzhou Asian Games proceeds in accordance with the Asian Games Time, combines objective and subjective measurements, reveals the actual performance of volunteers and is favorable for inspiring volunteers' working enthusiasm. However, the measurement is defective in that the objective for the performance measurement is no clear, indexes of the measurement are simple, and measurement and training are separated. The measurement of the volunteers' service performance in largescale sports event should consider the mental needs of the volunteers, provide encouragement rather than punishment, set reasonable measurement objectives, choose proper measurement methods, give timely feedback and communicate with the volunteers appropriately.
Key words: Asian Games, volunteer service, performance measurement
