Abstract: AIDS and the problems it causes have attracted more and more attention of society. The weak points of the work model on helping AIDS patients in China have gradually shown up: The government values prevention, ignores rescue. Organization rescue lacks standardization and systematization. Academic research attaches importance to theory, belittling practice demonstration, and media publicity is not in place. The success of Hong Kong AIDS patients relief work mode offers some experience: the four groups, namely social workers, nurses, physiotherapists, and raising team, have close cooperation, treating AIDS patients as the center, and providing overall service in terms of daily life, psychology, crisis intervention, and personal development, etc. This practical experience provides reference to related work in China.

Key words: AIDS patients, organization rescue
