A Discussion about Effective Methods to Expand the International Influence of Chinese Academic Periodicals

Abstract: In recent years, methods to enhance the international influence of Chinese academic periodicals have been highly discussed. In the process of internationalization, Chinese academic periodicals have made a lot of attempts to enhance their international influence. However, there are some problems and misunderstandings. The key to enhancing the international influence of Chinese periodicals lies in enhancing academic self-confidence. Specific measures include establishing independent evaluation system, enhancing academic self-confidence, tapping academic issues, winning a greater say internationally, building journal brands, and promoting the overall development of academic periodicals and so on. Multiple measures should be applied in order to improve the overall level of Chinese academic periodicals.
