Abstract: In the report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, important strategic arrangements have been made to strengthen the Party's political construction, which reflects a high-level of generalization and summary of the exploration experience of the Party's political construction since the 18^th CPC National Congress. In the new era, the Party's political construction should take as its primary task maintaining the authority of the Party Central Committee and centralized and unified leadership, emphasize political discipline and regulation, strive to strengthen and standardize political life within the Party, persistently improve the style of work to maintain the Party's intrinsic political qualities, and continuously improve the political consciousness and ability of Party members and cadres. Strengthening the Party's political construction provides an important impetus and basic guarantee for consolidating the Party's centralized and unified leadership, improving the quality of Party building and advancing the reform of the national political system.
