On the Factors of College Students Mental Health and the
Strategy of Social Work Intervention: A Spirituality Perspective

Abstract: The increasingly prominent metal health problems with college students have become one of the major social problems in China. This article takes a spirituality perspective on the influence of college students spiritual belief on their mental health in order to find a new way to improve college students metal health. It is found that the four dimensions of college students belief system, viz. meaning of life, moral belief, political belief and religious belief, have significant correlation with their mental health. It is suggested that various social work activities intended for life education, service learning and spirituality development counseling should be conducted in higher education program to improve college students mental health and promote their spiritual development.
