The research found that S organization can give full play to the advantages of the hub platform when carrying out services for children in distress, promote children's development and multi-subject participation. But the problems of S organization are still prominent, due to the limitations of organization construction, insufficient innovation in service content and form, lack of service specifications and mechanisms. Therefore, to promote the development of children's welfare, we must adhere to the principle of government leadership, to broaden social participation channels, and integrate cross-border innovation forces, mobilize multiple subjects to actively invest in services and resources in services for children in distress, to strengthen their social support network.

    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2023, 23 (2): 30-36,73.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (971KB) ( 1333 )
Social organizations have become one of the important subjects of the modern system of national governance, and how to improve their ability to better participate in collaborative governance is its development direction. This paper proposes that the endogenous perspective of social innovation is an appropriate and attractive direction for the next stage of research on the development of social organization. The creation of social organization is a kind of organizational innovation, whose concept and value innovation have independent social value. Service products are the carrier of social concept and value innovation, resource allocation innovation, chain, franchise, authorization and other organizational innovation is committed to better convey the mission and provide services. The innovation and development of social organizations can respond to the problems of target replacement in the government's purchase of social organization services, the lack of manifestation of the concept and value of social organizations, and the lack of autonomy of social organizations.

CHEN Honglin, XIANG Di, WANG Yihang
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2023, 23 (2): 57-65.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (871KB) ( 1378 )
Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is an early stage of memory disorder. Caregivers of MCI patients have shown strong stress-related negative emotions and caregiving burden. This study aims to conduct integrated social work interventions among informal caregivers for MCI patients. Quasi-experimental design was employed to evaluate the effects of integrated social work intervention among the intervention group (N=38). The effectiveness of the intervention was evaluated by general information questionnaires, caregiver burden inventory, social support scale and general self-efficacy scale, and simplified coping style scale before and after the intervention. The comparison between the experiment group and the control group (N=32) was conducted by descriptive statistics and T-test. After the intervention, six caregivers were interviewed to further understand the caregivers' changes in each dimension of caregiving burden. Overall, there was no significant difference between the caregiver's care burden (P>0.05). As to the sub-dimentions of care burden, there were statistically significant differences on the emotional burden (P<0.05) and the development-restricted burden (P<0.05). There was significant improvement in social support (P<0.05) for caregivers after intervention, and there was no significant change in self-efficacy and coping style of caregivers (P>0.05). The 8-week integrated intervention for MCI caregivers increased the social support of MCI caregivers and strengthened their social support network. However, integrated intervention had no significant effect on self-efficacy and coping strategies, which was mainly attributed to the limited sample size and the duration of the intervention. Although there was no statistically significant alleviation on the overall caregiving burden, the emotional burden of caregivers has decreased significantly with the strengthened social support. On the contrary, the caregiver's development restriction increased, which was impacted by the further understanding of the multiple caregiving tasks for mild cognition impairment, the increase of objective caregiving time, the patients' anosognosia and the increase of the behavioral and psychological symptoms.

    LIU Ying, ZHENG Huawei
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2023, 23 (2): 66-73.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (747KB) ( 1473 )
Rural residents' participation in community affairs is related to the development of the whole rural community. Based on the data from 1363 samples in Jiangsu Province, we focus on how community identity affects the willingness of rural residents to participate in community affairs from three perspectives:"volunteering" "rights and interests" and "voting". The results show that rural residents' willingness to participate in "rights and interests" is the strongest, followed by "volunteerism" and "voting". The influence of community identity on rural residents' willingness to participate in the community varies according to the type of public issues, with the more common factors focusing on satisfaction with community life and expectations for the future development of the community. The findings of this study can help predict the participation of rural residents in community building and provide an important reference basis for guiding and encouraging this group to participate in good community governance.

WEI Xihao, WANG Hanwen, XU Yanping, XU Xuanguo
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2023, 23 (2): 74-84.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (808KB) ( 1364 )
In the process of relocation, villagers are faced with some community problems, such as difficulties in adaptation and home reconstruction. Participation is particularly important for the self-adjustment and community integration of relocated villagers, and promoting villagers' participation has become the priorities of social work services. Based on the theoretical perspective of participation and with the help of the professional practice of social work in Miao Village, Yunnan Province, this study aims to present the transformation mechanism of social work in the relocation of villagers from symbolic participation to partnership, as well as the practical logic and professional actions of the generation of social work promotion mechanism. The study found that the service team demonstrated the practical logic of emphasizing value rationality, focusing on the needs of the subject and respecting the local culture through reflection, communication and mining of local cultural symbols and other professional social work actions. This results in a triple mechanism of space release, willingness to participate and ability to participate. Through the above mechanism, villagers can participate in the state transformation. Based on the above analysis, this study further emphasizes that facing the uncertain practical situation and the task of high quality development, mechanism analysis can be one of the ways for social work to deal with complex practical problems and prove its effectiveness.

A Study on the Perfection of China's “De-Familialization” Fertility Support Policy from the Perspective of Active Fertility Support
    ZHOU Xiaoyan, ZHANG Jianhua
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2023, 23 (2): 85-96.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (842KB) ( 1436 )
After entering the new century, China's population presents problems such as the deterioration of population structure, the decline of total fertility rate, the imbalance of neonatal sex ratio and so on. Meanwhile, Chinese families face problems such as the family change, the female employment, the economic pressure of infant rearing, the lack of father's role in the early childhood care and education. It makes it difficult for family reproductive support to meet the increasingly diversified reproductive support needs of China's population of childbearing age. Different from the process of "de-familialization" to "re-familialization" in western countries, due to the long-term implementation of the policy of restraining population fertility and the dual social policy design of urban and rural areas, China has only limited and fragmented fertility support policies, and the "de-familialization" fertility support services are relatively limited. Therefore, the improvement of China's fertility support policy can not simply repeat the old road of Western reform. We should build China's fertility support policy system under the guidance of "de-familialization". It is suggested to improve the top-level design of the fertility support system, improve the policy implementation system, strengthen the comprehensiveness and coordination of specific fertility support policies, and strive to build a "fertility friendly" society.
