An Analysis of the Development Advantages of Brazil, Russia, India and China from the Perspective of International Competitiveness
    CAI Chunlin
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2012, 12 (1): 13-17.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (0KB) ( 2957 )
Starting with the two major evaluation systems of international competitiveness in the world, combined with the global index of economic prosperity and innovation, this paper analyzes the international competitiveness ranking of World Economic Forum (WEF) and the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) for Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC), and their future competitiveness development trends as a whole. It draws a conclusion that the BRIC countries hold comparative advantages. It is found that BRIC countries possess their own strength and enormous potential for cooperation. If an effective mechanism for cooperation is established, turning the comparative potential advantages into international competitive advantages, it can provide an important foundation and prerequisite for the BRIC countries to improve the overall competitiveness.

    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2012, 12 (1): 18-24.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (0KB) ( 3077 )
Classification, analysis and representation of logistics demand, involved in supply chain network design, is the basis of supply chain network design formulation. It could be conducive to the establishment and optimization of supply chain network design model. This paper analyzes the logistics space demand and time demand. With reference to the existing errors and limitations of space demand, this paper proposes the area random demand and node cluster demand based on geographic information processing tools, describing the uncertainty logistics demand by the expected demand function, and formulates the demand uncovering function to represent the time demand. The application direction of demand representation in supply chain network design is given in the conclusion.

    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (0KB) ( 3300 )
Project information collection and risk management method choice directly affect the effectiveness of risk management. On the basis of existing project risk management, this article  presents five channels to collect detailed information on the project from historical statistics, theory, project information and other internal and external sources. Based on several criteria for method choice, it advances a new proposal of constructing method system by combining several methods to achieve more scientific and effective followup risk management. According to postevaluation of risk management, the way to evaluate the methods after project risk management is proposed. Finally, the article, taking the actual risk management in the astronautics project for example, shows the process of information collection and method system establishment as a case of project risk management application.

CHEN Hao, HUI Qingshan, XI Jing
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2012, 12 (1): 31-38.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (483KB) ( 3842 )
Psychological ownership is an important predictor for employees attitude and behavior, and it can produce positive and negative effects. According to the data from two clusters of samples, the study is designed to revise the psychological ownership questionnaire (POQ) developed by Avey et al. The result suggests that two types of psychological ownership with four factors are suitable to the POQ in sample 1 consisting of 243 employees, which are promotion focused psychological ownership and the preventionfocused one. The promotionfocused psychological ownership comprises selfefficacy, accountability, belongingnessidentity and the preventionfocused one is examined as a single factor. The results are also validated in sample 2 consisting of 544 employees from another company. The internal reliability for POQ in the two samples is above 0.8, and that for subscales is above 07. The content validity and criterion validity of POQ are acceptable. The promotionfocused psychological ownership is significantly positive with job satisfaction, organizational identification, and affective commitment, while the preventionfocused psychological ownership is not significantly positive.

Exploring the Ways for Social Work to Enter Urban Community Social Rescue——An Example of Family Integrative Service Center in JS Street in Guangzhou
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2012, 12 (1): 39-45.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (533KB) ( 3928 )
As a national system, social rescue is related to, but different from, social relief. Social relief is a temporary rescue measure and mostly found in unexpected disasters, such as natural disasters, dangerous diseases and so on, causing heavy loss and threat to a portion of social members life and property. Social rescue, as a responsibility of the government, is a longterm rescue system, aiming to rescue certain social groups. As the governments responsibility to provide longterm rescue to some social groups, social rescue is part of the social security system, ensuring the lowest living standard for those who suffer from disasters and have lost working ability and for the lowincome citizens. The involvement of social work in social rescue is a new task for social management. This article starts from urban community social work practice and analyzes and explores ways for social work to get involved in urban community social rescue.

An Investigation into the Theory and Practice of Government Purchase of Services——Taking the Purchase of Social Work Service Contracting for Guangzhou Agape Social Service Center as an Example
    YU Bing1, GUO Weixin2
    SOCIAL WORK AND MANAGEMENT, 2012, 12 (1): 46-50.
    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (473KB) ( 3710 )
The origin of purchase of service contracting (POSC) in the West can be traced back to the crisis of the welfare states including governments financial crisis and the subsequent government reform, the wave of marketoriented privatization of public services, and the rise of the idea of new public management. However, in this process of “entrustingbeing entrusted”, there exists a complicated principalagent relationship and multiple accountability issues. While the context in China is different, there is much room for exploring the content, specifications, and the purchasing ways of POSC. It is also imperative to avoid the hasty and overheated development of social work services. The article attempts to illustrate this argument through an example of social service organization in Guangzhou that was established years ago and has participated in the early stage of the government purchase of services.

    Abstract    HTML ( ) PDF (407KB) ( 2904 )
Wellknown trademarks have an absolute significance for sharing market, and any diluting behavior to wellknown trademarks would result in an irreversible damage. There are differences between selfdilution and traditional dilution in terms of their form and subject. In reality, enterprises are alert to the selfdilution of wellknown trademarks, but do not take sufficient care and preventive measures. Exploring the forms, characteristics and preventive measures of selfdilution of wellknown trademarks has vital significance to an enterprises longterm development.
